Meeting Tomorrow

Another thursday has come upon us, and as per usual, we will be meeting. I like to think all of our meetings are special, but this one should be especially so as we will be taking your lovely ideas and comments from last meeting and putting them on a calendar. As somebody who is ideologically opposed to the idea of a calendar in my personal life, this could be a difficult meeting for me, and perhaps for some of you too. But…its a little helpful when trying to piece together a hopefully productive semester.
Such things that may go on this calendar:
  • -Potlucks, colossal musical gettogethers and other social events
  • -Speakers/workshops
  • -Keji/morton centre/maple shack/eagle festival/martock/adventure ski trip
  • -Relay for life
Also, a member of the administration has told us that if we make a show of student support around an issue, the administration is willing to consider make changes from the top down. They’re basically just looking for somebody to blame, and if they can blame a nebulous group of ’students’, then they’re in the clear. Amy and I met with Jodie and Alex and a few others at the Academy and brainstormed a few ideas, but we’d like to put the premise to you to see what you come up with.
That’s all! 5:30, tomorrow (thursday), the Michner Lounge. I may bring food.
